Hangaround Aircraft Storage Systems Inc (HASS) was incorporated in British Columbia in 2004.
HASS became established as a fixed based operator, FBO at Pitt Meadows regional airport (CYPK). Our aim and purpose is to serve the general aviation community in the Vancouver lower mainland of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
We provide a hospitable and friendly aviation facility to serve general aviation aviators and recreational pilots an affordable “Hangout” and networking facility. Our tenants get the benefit of convenient access to personal aircraft with air side presence without the capital outlay of owning a hangar of their own.
HASS is headed up by Aubrey Hardie – President , who is a fixed wing pilot and aircraft owner operator and is run effectively with help from spouse and partner Lorraine Hardie.
Our FBO operations commenced in August 2004 with the opening of a newly constructed and jointly owned hangar complex. The complex comprises 14300 sq ft of commercial hangar space including 4000 sq ft of prime office space. Our hangar overlooks the threshold of runway 26L and is a mere 300 foot taxi to the run-up area on taxiway Alpha.
The airport, CYPK consists of a staffed control tower, terminal building, restaurant, three paved runways and a water runway. It is home base for several major rotary wing operations, banner towing, skydiving, light charter operators and aircraft maintenance facilities. It provides a float plane dock and ramp and serves approximately 225 locally based land an float aircraft. The airport offers Jet A1 and 100 LL avgas by bowser and other fixed fuel pump options are available at competitive rates.
